7 Tips For Marketing Via Twitter

The 140-characters social network somehow has become attractive for promoting business online. And if you want your business to twitter-7-tipsbecome a success, it’s a worthy idea to take this into consideration and supply your business with presence in Twitter. First of all, find out if your target audience is concentrated here. If the answer is “yes” – well, you’ll have to learn how to promote through Twitter. As any other network, this one has its own tricks to consider while creating your marketing company:

  1. Bother yourself with proper filling in your profile, including adding an image and contact information with links to your web resources. Yes, I know that it’s old like the world, but if it is, why so many people neglect it? Your profile info is the face of your business. Which of you will be willing to contact the faceless one?
  2. Post tweets regularly. What’s the reason to follow the empty page? Allocate a space of time every day to share some useful (or just funny) information with your followers. In the same time, don’t rack your brains over what to say, just try to present your business or some news of your field in an informal way.
  3. The result won’t come at once. Be patient and accept the fact that the very dame day you’ve created a Twitter page your sales won’t boost for 30%. It might take several months to become interesting and collect a huge audience, or your future clients.
  4. Use the keywords. Make the list of keywords that describe your business and use them in writing the tweets. By the way, it can become a kind of solution when you don’t know what to write about.
  5. Be real, honest and open to conversation with your clients. Answer the questions honestly, even if something is far not perfect, you’d better admit it than show yourself is a liar. Being a transparent increases trust to you and to what you sell, accordingly.
  6. Concentrate on communication. I mean, it’s not about following back everyone who followed you, but always follow those who re-tweet you or provide a good feedback. Follow the companies which might be interested in your business, and maybe one day you will build a far-going business relationship.
  7. Share the content that might be interesting for your target audience. Yes, you’ve created this page to promote your business, share links to your goods, a useful info etc. But don’t concentrate on it. There’s always time for a joke or a link to a cool infographics. Being offbeat always drags attention.

Twitter is not the tool to provide you an instant business result, neither any social network is. But it’s not the reason to neglect it. Just pay regular attention to your page – and communicate even more as it’s the main thing that works.

Top 10 best social networks

The usage of social networking sites has changed over the past few years, as the likes of Twitter and Facebook have taken over as the most popular social networking sites from some of the earlier such as MySpace. Thanks to smartphones it has never been easier to connect with friends and family via social networking pages. So here is a list of some of the best social networking sites of 2013.

  1. Facebook. It is probably not a surprise to find out that the most popular social networking site on the web at the moment is Facebook. There have been many attempts to knock Facebook from its perch as the most commonly used social networking site, however, none of them have succeeded as of yet.
  2. Twitter. Facebook’s closest rival, Twitter, is also one of the most popular and fast-growing social networking sites, and it is popular with celebrities who wish to engage with the public without giving away too much personal information.
  3. LinkedIn. This is a social networking site that is tailored towards professionals who are looking to network with similar people, so that they can promote their business or services, post job advertisements as well as applying for job vacancies.
  4. Google+. When Google+ first came on the social network scene in 2011, it was hailed by many as the biggest threat yet to Facebook. Although it failed to replace Facebook as the number 1 social networking site, it was hailed as the fastest growing social networking site ever seen on the web. However it’s still a top discussion on how the growth numbers of G+ are quite opposite to the number of currently engaged users.
  5. Tumblr. Tumblr is a similar micro-blogging site to Twitter, however, it is more image based, rather than text based. It’s an especially great place for people who love modern movies, tv-series, music and other pop-culture phenomena.
  6. Pinterest. One of the new kids on the block, Pinterest is gaining in popularity, and it is popular with people who wish to share their interests and hobbies with other people. Its popularity stems from the fact that it is similar to an online scrapbook, or pin board, and you can share your own interests as well as share other peoples.
  7. YouTube. The number one video sharing site is now owned by Google, and you can link your Google+ and YouTube accounts so that it is easier to share the videos you love with your friends.
  8. Instagram. This photo sharing social network is one of the most popular of its kind on the web. It began life as an exclusive iOS app, however, the popularity demanded it became available on the Android operating system, and then as a standalone website. Acquired by Facebook, Instagram became one of the biggest tech deals of all time.
  9. Foursquare. Is a location based social network that is also a game. You check-in to places you visit in order to collect badges and points. People seem to love becoming the mayors of the places they visit while brands are feeding their customers’ egos with special offers and gaining new visitors to their places.
  10. StumbleUpon. Is an interesting social network with a twist. You just choose your preferred interest and press the “Stumble” button, then the app loads a webpage for you to view, plus you can submit your own pages. You can like what’s you’ve been shown or ask to never show you something like that again.

Dealing with Criticism on Social Media

Dealing with Criticism on Social Media

Social media has become a powerful tool for connecting with customers and potential customers. The conversation that takes place Social-Media-Marketingthere can have a big impact on your company’s image and reputation. Therefore, when you experience criticism on any of your social media networks – whether on your own profile or on the profile of another user – it is important to respond appropriately to make sure that you maintain the image you want and don’t lose any future sales.

Dealing with criticism on social media is both an art and a skill. Here are a few tips for what to do when you experience criticism on your social networks:

Respond Quickly

While you do want to ensure that you give the right response, you don’t want to take too long to formulate it. Allowing a criticism to go unacknowledged can make you look like you are admitting guilt or like you don’t care. Your customers will fill the silence with their own interpretation of the situation, and it may or may not be in your favor. Make sure you shape the conversation by responding quickly.

Acknowledge the Complaint

Avoid arguing or debating the circumstances. It will only make you look defensive and combative. Simply acknowledge the situation and acknowledge what is making the customer upset. You don’t have to admit mistake, but you should not try to prove that you didn’t make a mistake either. Remember: The customer is always right – even if you don’t think they are.

Offer a Sincere Apology

Whether you made a mistake or not, apologize. If you did not make a mistake, your apology may address the miscommunication or other circumstance that led to the problem. If you did make a mistake, simply admit it and apologize for it. You don’t have to be perfect to win your customers’ trust and respect. Taking accountability for yourself and doing what you need to do to make the situation right will earn their trust and respect.

Be Yourself When Responding

Many companies hide behind formal and stilted language when dealing with criticisms in a public forum. However, this will make customers think that you are not sincere in your apology and that you are distancing yourself from the problem. Use your own language when responding. Inject a little levity where appropriate. Sign off with your own name. Make it personal, and it will feel more sincere.

Take the Conversation Offline

While you need to address the criticism publicly – since it was made publicly – it’s best to take the conversation offline after the initial acknowledgment and apology. You don’t want to give the customer the opportunity to continue expressing frustration and anger publicly, making the situation worse for you. Respond publicly, then send the person a private message. If you have a phone number, give the person a call. A lot gets lost in translation in e-mail, so speaking in person will make communication easier.

Criticism on social media is inevitable, even for a small company. The key is not to avoid it, but to know how to address it appropriately. If you can deal with criticism in the right way, you can make your company look more professional and trustworthy and win new clients.

Making a blog could be an easy thing but converting them into a successful one is really a difficult task to accomplish. Blogging involves a number of "promote blog"things, which include creating a blog, choosing a theme to make your blog coherent and consistent. Then you need to create your own discipline to post over your blog on a regular basis. And with settling all these things, you strive hard to get the traffic and readers for your blog. There are many ways to promote your blog. One of the best ways is to promote it over Google communities as it gives you several benefits, which is not possible over other platforms. Google Plus has introduced a new feature called Google Communities, which help you in promoting your blog. The following are some of the best ways of promoting your blog using Google Communities.

Produce high quality content

Content plays a very important role when it comes to promoting over Google Community. Without producing a cornerstone content wherein your readers are able to find some valuable information, you may not be able to leverage from Google Community. Nothing can really beat high quality and original content, hence before publishing the content over your blog, you invest good amount of your time and efforts in checking and proofreading the text. At the same time maintain a conversational tone over different posts. In this fashion, you will be able to build up an emotional connection with your readers, which will stay for long.

Be alert and interact with your niche

Most of the times the readers tend to ignore to respond the posts just because you (blogger) simply forget to reply their comments. Hence when you come over Google Communities, make sure you remain alert and active while you join groups of the same niche area. The Google Community is designed to support relationship between different members found in the community, whereas this platform acts like a vessel wherein you could easily declare your interests and join different communities along with getting the opportunity to invite other people to join your group as well.

Making your profile interesting

Your profile talks a lot, which happens to be a vital thing for promoting your blog. This could carry your name and your blog where you publish your content. If the users find your posts interesting, which you share over the public Google Community, they would be attracted towards your profile to gain more details about you. During this process, they will click at your blog’s links and check over some other informative or valuable posts, which could help them in enriching their area of knowledge. Hence make sure you create high quality profile and keep it updated on a regular interval.

Engage your readers with online contests

There are many social media networks, which allow you to organize several online contents with the help of coupons and freebies to attract people. Similarly, Google Communities also support you in organizing a number of such contests in a more attractive manner, in fact better than other social media platforms. All you need to do is to simply create a blog post with the help of mechanics and reward for the contest and share over the Google Community. Give details about the way you are going to announce the winners of the content by motivating the reader to subscribe your RSS feeds, which will help them to remain informed.

Final word

With Google Community, Google Plus seems to be giving competition to Facebook and other social media sites. It allows you to promote, share and discuss your blog and other content. If you want to use Google Communities to promote your blog, consider the above ways of doing so and end up building up a good reader base.

Linkedin – Fake Profiles Sprouting

The number of fake profile are increasing in linkiedin as Linkedin restricts the number of persons which would be added to a single account.  Linkedin restricts adding people "linkedin"who are not known to the user. When an account is started on linkedin, it asks for your gmail, yahoo or Hotmail id. From there it picks the users who are already registered with linkedin. It sends invitations to them to be added as your friend. You may invite peopledirectly  if you know their email id. Then from their friends, Linkedin suggests some connections for you. You would simply add them even if you do not know them. But later it puts restrictions, if you repeat this. So you would add only few people with this.  So if one id is restricted, There is no other way other than registering a new account with linkedin. In this restricted scenario, Fake profiles are sprouting in Linkedin. It needs necessary measures either to remove this restriction of put a restriction on these fake profiles.
